The Classic Floorcoverings from the coconut tree. Coir comes from the short fibres in the coconut shell. These fibres are very elastic and durable. Additionally, the coconut fibre is fat-freee and is immune to fungus and bacteria, which makes them one excellent flooring for allergy sufferers. In addition coconut fibre is anti-static and difficult to ignite - also offering insulation and sound absorption characteristics. The appearance is rustic and robust. Coir is often used for runners in heavily foot traffic areas, such as stairwells and churches.
