Coir comes from the short fibres in the coconut shell. These fibres are very elastic and durable. Additionally, the coconut fibre is fat-freee and is immune to fungus and bacteria, which makes them one excellent flooring for allergy sufferers. In addition coconut fibre is anti-static and difficult to ignite - also offering insulation and sound absorption characteristics. The appearance is rustic and robust. Coir is often used for runners in heavily foot traffic areas, such as stairwells and churches.
Bangalore Runner is also available in the colours nature, nature-brown and red (Item Nr. 2200, 2210, 2220).
